Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is another premium Tablet that was launched by Samsung recently. The Galaxy Tab S4 will see the company’s maybe increase the market share concerning sales. The iPad Pro so far dominates the market according to the analysis of 2018 first Quarter report by research firm IDC having shipped a sold over 11.5million tabs. Tablet shipments have dropped across the industry by 13.5% with only Apple and Huawei dominating with a slight increase in sales in 2Q 2018.
The launch of the new iPad Pro back in 1Q 2018 has seen Apple’s increase in sales in 2Q 2018. The iPad Pro’s improve in performance and more so focus on education has just paid off, and more so Samsung is hoping for the better with their Galaxy Tab S4.
Samsung still holds the second place in the Tablet market share according to 2Q 2018 report while Huawei is third in this category having shipped a total of 3.4 million units in the same Quarter.
However, Samsung holds their hopes up given the underperformances of their tablets and smartphones in the industry since early this year. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 adopts a 10.5 inch super AMOLED display (2560×1600p) and a 16:9 aspect ratio. This time Samsung ditched the top logo and the home button to increase the screen ratio. There’s been some improvement from the Galaxy Tab S3, and Galaxy Tab S4 has narrow bezels with 287ppi.
The tablet is an Android OS powered using Android One. However, Samsung has equipped the Galaxy Tab S4 with a Samsung Dex allowing a seamless switch to a desktop view mode. The desktop view mode offers an experience similar to what a desktop can do; multiple desktop tabs styling, Easy drag, and drop of content between tabs and more so use of keyboard shortcuts and commands. Additionally, you can also switch to a bigger view if you need using the HDMI to USB-C type adaptor.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is equipped with a Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 835 Octa-Core processor paired with Adreno 540GPU and powered by a 7300mAh battery. The device runs on 4GB of RAM with variable internal storage memory of 64GB or 256GB. There’s also micro SD card support allowing memory expansion up to 400GB.
The camera section in Tablets usually underperforms keeping in mind the associated price tags. Galaxy Tab S4 offers a 13MP primary camera and an 8MP secondary camera. Productivity has also been taken on another level with the multifunctional S-Pen offering easy text translation with a swipe, create animated text messages and even the easy taking of notes with the screen off memo feature.
More so there’s more entertainment with the inclusion of four speakers tuned by Atmos and Dolby immersive technology offering maximum loudness and consistent playback volume.
